Multicultural Day was held  on November 7, 2018 at the Glendale Acres Elementary School. The activity was intended  to showcase the various cultures of the students who graced the precincts of the school. Cultures represented were China, Jamaica, Philippines,Puerto Rico, Ghana, and Haiti. The children were given the opportunity to view displays from the different countries and also listened to  presentations. Child Nutrition also celebrated with us as they served coconut water, guava and dragon fruit to the kids in honor of multicultural day. The afternoon’s program was immensely interesting as students were given the opportunity to Skype with students from the Mt. Hannah Primary School in Hanover,Jamaica. They were very enthused to interact and learn about the culture of the Jamaican children, They also saw excerpts of a day in the classroom of the Maryland Primary School, a neighboring school in the community.
