 Submitted by Deborah Dowd

The Glendale Acres Elementary School staff and students welcomed the Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 for an exciting assembly.  The dancers and fiddler truly did a wonderful job of educating the audience on dance and percussion.  It was a delightfully interactive program entitled, “Keeping the Beat!”  The Artists in Schools project is supported by the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County with funds from the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Cumberland County Schools and private contributions.  The Glendale Acres school family is very grateful to Arts Council and to their Parent Teacher Association for matching the grant with the Arts Council for this excellent educational opportunity.
