Submitted by Deborah Dowd

All staff and students of Glendale Acres Elementary School celebrated the September 17th Citizenship Day on Friday, September 15, 2017.  Everyone gathered around the school’s flagpole for a special ceremony.  Principal Dr. Julie Dees shared with everyone some information about Citizenship Day and the United States Constitution.  She then introduced Terry Sanford High School’s AFJROTC  to present a flag ceremony.  Jr Cadet Quintero directed the cadets in an educational and moving presentation. Afterwards, Glendale Acres’ music teacher Carlos Tyson led everyone in the song, “My Country Tis of Thee.”  The Glendale Acres Elementary School family is very appreciative of Timothy K.
