Dr. Dees participated in the Sandhills Regional Education Consortium (SREC), which is a collaboration of 13 K-12 public school districts in southeastern North Carolina. The consortium is a strong partnership working together to ensure continuous professional development of its members for the ultimate goal of providing the very best teachers and leaders for students in the region.  The Sandhills Leadership Academy exists to advance the field of school leadership by producing principals with an urgent focus on getting results quickly and a belief in and personal responsibility for every student to achieve at a high level, to be globally competitive for work and post secondary education, and to be prepared for life in the 21st century.   Dr. Dees and the other participants completed Cohort XI.

Summer Information SUMMER OFFICE HOURS

June 12 – August 11, 2017
7:30 am – 5:30 pm
Monday – Thursday
Closed on Friday

* REGISTRATION INFORMATION
You will need a picture ID and proof of residence  in our school district  to register your child.  Please bring in your child’s certified birth certificate and shot record.  Please register your child as early as possible.  School begins on August 28th for the 2017-18 school year.

* NOTICE OF BREAKFAST AND LUNCH STATUS 
*Cumberland County Schools (CCS) Child Nutrition Services is excited to announce that The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is being offered to Glendale Acres Elementary for the 2017-2018 school year.  All students attending Glendale Acres Elementary School will receive breakfast and lunch meals at no charge.  Schools participating in the CEP Provision will not distribute free and reduced lunch applications to their students for the 2017-2018 school year.  However, students may purchase additional food items approved for a la carte sales.  The a la carte sales may include itiems such as rice crispy treats, chips, graham crackers, fruit roll-up, gold fish, animal crackers, and etc…

* BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR
Glendale Acres will have a “Back to School Fair” on Thursday, August 24th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 p.m.  Please come out and meet the teachers, speak with the bus drivers and enjoy entertainment for you and your child(ren).
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR THE 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR IS AUGUST 28, 2017.

**Staggered entry for Kindergarten**
Last Names A-M begin August 28th (This group will not come on August 30th)
Last Names N-Z begin August 29th
All kindergartners come on August 30th 

Parent Orientations for Kindergarten from 8:00-9:00 am on their respective days (A-M on 28th and N-Z on 29th).
