Living Rhythms Brings the West African Beat to Glendale Acres Elementary School
Submitted by Deborah Dowd
The staff and students of Glendale Acres Elementary School enjoyed a wonderful participatory assembly
with Living Rhythms on December 16, 2019. Living Rhythms shared with the Glendale Acres family
what they have learned during their studies in Africa. The school family is so appreciative to have been
given the opportunity to experience such a fun, exciting and educational assembly. The assembly was
funded through a matching grant with Glendale Acres PTA and The Arts Council for the Artists in
Schools Program. This project is supported by the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County with
funds from the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural
Resources, Cumberland County Schools and private contributions.
